Semper Fi

“I belong to the people I love, and they belong to me–they, and the love and loyaty I give them, form my identity far more than any word or group ever could.”
Veronica Roth, Allegiant

Welcome. The love of womanhood and everything feminine brings me here, to the first instalment of Vimbaimandiri.

A blog that will hopefully captivate your imaginations, stroke your emotions, rub your egos and do many other things to you, women and men alike.

Semper Fi is Latin for always loyal. Loyal to womanhood, to being. Loyal to the joys and pains that come with it. The responsibilities that are expected along with it. The awesomeness that it sometimes represents, the power used an unused.

Loyal to refusing to represent what she may be expected to represent sometimes. Loyal to being her own person yet there for everyone who might need her. She has her own mind.

This loyalty can only be attained by a virtuous woman. A woman that is not afraid to live in the face of adversity. A woman that is willing to accept that she can never be right always. A woman that is willing to wake up to new possibilities daily.

A woman that continuously runs for attainment of goals, fulfilling her aspirations and raising up to greater heights those that surround her and others that see her from afar. She is a woman of faith.

Thus this woman is loyal to herself, to her mother, her grandmother, to sisterhood and even to her significant male other-whatever relationship she hers with them.

She is not afraid to acknowledge that she is a sinner and can do better. She is able to love even when it hurts the most, she does not love in little measurements. She is true.

This woman is me, you and she is what many aspire to be. She is attainable. Through thoughts, actions, behaviour, willingness to be and not to be.

She is disciplined and rebellious.

She laughs and cries. She knows anger and joy. She knows where she’s coming from and going. Maybe we can find her within ourselves, daily, bit by bit.

Just in a few words.
